Time is a Commodity

Namaste and Salaam to all of you Beautiful People! Buenas Dias, indeed! Today IS a good day, based on the weather: Vancouver is sunny and the windstorms are napping. Whew! There are branches from the trees everywhere, and we even saw three boats (sailboats) washed up on Kits Beach! Unfortunately, I did not have my trusty, old camera with me at the time.
But…fortunately, we had the time to walk the beaches in the morning. Veryvery grateful for those tolen moments of respite-even though they are “only” to get wee babydog, Nicklas, outside for fresh air. I am a Dogmommy, first and formost, afterall.
Thus the photograph at the top.
Ladies and Gentlemen, THIS is the CONSTANT state of my 2008 car. Constant. It is a travelling dog taxi. Truly.
I have a small, two-door car. I am extremely fortunate to have this car, as it has gotten me back+forth to Bowen Island, transported dogs to vets, and my butt to faraway places like Poco, etc, in any given week.
I walk or ride my bicycle the rest of the time.
Time is what I always seem to crave. I am ever stating, “there aren’t enough hours in the day” and you KNOW how early I get up in the morning and I STILL don’t seem to have time to CLEAN MY CAR!!!!
Or breathe.
Or sit still.
Or write, uninterrupted.
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.
I think this is something I need to work on, like everything else I try to be mindful of.
Time is of the essence.
Time is running out.
Time is on our side.
Everything in its time.
The trouble is that we think we have time.
Time flies.
Time for reflection.
(Insert your “time” saying here)

I hope you get my drift. I think the truth of the matter is, TIME WELL SPENT is our “free” time: the time where we are doing what we do when we are HONORING our needs.
And I neeeed to get outside in the fresh air with my pup when I get chances.
I don’t neeeeed to waste water by getting my carwashed.
Don’t tell Volvo! I don’t want them to think I’m not grateful for my car and how it assists me in life. No, I do not have leather seats (duh!) LOL!
I hope everyone find the time to breathe, relax, and honor yourself this weekend. Maybe I will see you at Ambleside Park in West Van on the weekend.
Its Nick’s favorite dogpark.
Just follow the trail of dirt. You will find my car, and Nick+I, honoring ourelves in the fresh air of the morning.
Om Nama Shivaya.
Sai Ram.
Love and Light and blessings,
Biffy
