Hard Work Makes Winners, Baby!

Namaste! Sussreekall! Bonjour! Salut! Hellyeah! Hola! And Salaam to Everyone!! Welcome to a NEW MOON! A biggie, I understand, though I don’t know the first thing about astrology. Do you? (If you DO: I am a Gemeni)
I read something about this NewMoon that mentioned “it is a good time to start new projects or partnerships” or somthing like that. I thought, “what LUCK! I AM embarking on a smattering of ‘new projects’!” How convenient to also have the planets do their thang!! Neat! :D
My mama always told me, “if it was easy, EVERYONE would be doing it.” And I believe that is true.
It goes for ANYTHING one does.
Par example:
-physiotherapy is HARD WORK
-getting your education/degree is HARD WORK
-transitioning/improving your diet/nutrition is HARD WORK
-the police force/firefighting/military bootcamp is HARD WORK
-trying to get your demos recorded is HARD WORK
-making+having a healthy baby is HARD WORK
(Which leads us to: raising a happy+healthy kid is HARD WORK)
-kicking habits+rehab is HARD WORK
-successfully keeping your “relationship” together is HARD WORK
-navigating the job market and finding a job is HARD WORK
-keeping one’s job can be HARD WORK
-cleaning out your refridgerator is HARD WORK
-getting an “A” in school is HARD WORK
-potty training a puppy/baby/kitty is HARD WORK
-volunteering with the sick+dying I HARD WORK
-staying positive is HARD WORK (sometimes)
You get my drift.
A lot of the things that may be making you feel overwhelmed have a right to: they are HARD work.
And its okay to GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION to ackowledge that things are HARD. Its okay, BeautifulOnes. They are hard because nothin’ worth anything comes easy.
Remember: NOBODY GETS OFF EASY.
Om Nama Shivaya.
And you have to STAY ON YOUR PATH. And I have to stay on my path. You WILL get through it. You WILL get through it SUCCESSFULLY. You will!!!! :)
NewMoon and NEW opportunity to succeed! I fuckin love it! Challenge yourself! DO it!
What’s that sayng: “do something that scares you” like seeing something through? Like following your dreams? What?
Share? *hugs*
I wish everyone Highest Blessings and endless love energy and positivity for a HUGELY SUCCESSFUL WEEK!!!!! Okay? Okay!!
I am sending you INFINATE Bliss from my heart, and best wishes for all your new projects!
Om Hare You go!!!!

Biffy

Wow! Thank you so much for the pep talk! I’ve been trying to embark on a new musical project. It’s not going well though. My singing is terrible, and I’ve often wondered if I’m tone deaf. I can sing along to songs no problem, but coming up with my own melodies is very hard! I’ve thought about giving up, but after reading this blog, I’m inspired to keep trying! :)

I am so there with you on the above Biffy!!!
I have never been more focused on my goals in both my professional and personal life before, and it is paying off in SPADES, but if ANY of your projects needs a Voice Over dude, well let me know and I will try to help!
Thats what I have been focusing on over the last 4 years, and I am slowly getting up there, and I can’t wait until the day comes when i am so swamped with voice over work, my head will explode, but I should be careful of the old adage . . “be careful what you wish for . . . you MAY get it. .
PLEASE continue to blog us Biffy, you are a true inspiration!

Sometimes……..you just make my day. You make the world a little easier to face. You make those dark clouds in my head a little less grey. I strive in my heart of hearts to take your words and to live like you do hoping one day to have it come through on the outside. May the powers of this universe and beyond bless you Ms Naked.

It’s amazing how you blog about something during the exact same time I need to here it, you’ve done it a few times now!
I guess it’s easy to forget how much HARD WORK goes into something when it *seems* like everyone else has it so easy doing the same thing (I’m having that problem right now…). Following my dreams is VERY scary, that whole fear of failure thing, and because it means putting myself OUT THERE, which is also scary. Thank you, once again, for giving me the inspiration that I needed. :) xoxo

Bif, you’re so right, as you often are! So many things are hard, and almost all of them are soooooooooo worth it!
My new projects include some marketing ideas for the new business I’ll be opening in September 2010. I think you’d love the idea of it – a ladies kickboxing studio! Non-competitive kickboxing workouts designed by women, taught by women, for women. It totally rocks, especially for those of us who aren’t crazy about pushing around a bunch of weights. It is so much more fun to strike the heavy bag. HARD.
Check it out, http://www.kix4chix.ca/
I’ve never run my own business before, and I bet it’s going to be hard. But I also bet I’m going to love getting up every morning and leading some fabulous women through an intense workout. Several times a day. Yahooooooo! Tell me, what is it like to be an inspiration to fabulous women?
Hugs and butterflies,
~Teresa~
ps I hope your babydog is doing well! Does he have a new friend yet?

Oh, Bif!! I haven’t been able to read your blogs for a long time and I’ve been missing it! yesterday I chatted to my band mates and we think it’s time to go our own ways. I’ve been really sad. I know you’ve been here before. But I don’t want to give up! I’ve written so many songs that I am really proud of, I don’t want this to be the end… so I guess if I don’t want it to be it won’t right? Keep on working at it, I just pray that it doesn’t all just fade away…. I love it too much to let that happen though. I need to watch your music vids to be inspired to keep on trying and keep on working!
Much Love x

Thanks for the inspiration, Miss Bif. I’m at a major transition in my life, and I was getting a bit lost until I read your post tonight. I had forgotten that these things are hard work — I didn’t expect easy, but you’re right, these things in life are hard.
Ciao, Danté

bif, i was working with someone this weekend and in the conversation he said …
the only place that “success” comes before “work” … is in the dictionary
i thought that was appropo for this entry.
