Rehearsal Aint No Place For My Inner-Child
NAAAAAAAAAmaste!!!!!! Divinity to all you Beautiful, Beautiful People. The Inner-Child in me, sees The Inner-Child in you. :)
Yup. That’s Yours Truly (moi) in the photo. Not “pre-verbal” (was there EVER a Quiet Biffy?) But I was probably two. It is how I felt, inside, at my FIRST REHEARSAL YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Like a child. Like a small, shy kid. Hahahaha!
It was INCREDIBLE. The noise was deafening and completely thrilling, like Returning Home. I was so happy!!!!!!
And petrified. And I must tell you, like all of us, its how I always feel when I’m self-concious. But that feeling left as the set (no I can’t tell you) was underway, and it was like I never had time off!!! Like always, nervous energy gave way to losing myself in THE ROCK.
Forgetting myself and simply GIVIN’ ER!!!!!

I had sooooooooooo much fun!!!! It was kinda squeaky, and my voice kinda felt like I was swallowing rocks/gravel/sand the rest of the night, but that’s always the way it is with Rock-singin’. Always was-always will be. That’s why there are not very many Rockgrrrrrl singers. Our vocal cords are kinda skinny compared to, say, the guys in The Ripcords or the guys in Blood For Blood, y’know?
Today is another rehearsal and then…..tomorrow is rehearsal AND A VIDEO SHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodnessgracious!!!!!!!! I’m pretty nervous (see photo for referance, again..) But I’m pretty fuuuuuuuuuuckin (yay!swearing!) Stoked!!!
What an excitingexciting time. I’m very grateful and very happy+open. Om Shanti. I feel energetic and Awake.
I think about all of you, when we rehearse, and the shows BEING BOOKED AS WE SPEAK, and I’m pretty goshdarn (-thats instead of swearing or sayin “fuckin”) thrilled.
I get to see you all very soon. (Happy dance!!)
I encourage you all to acknowledge and embrace your Inner Child, even if just for a moment. We must honor those feelings and use them to push us towards our individual True Selves. :)

On Wednesday I’m doing something really BIG (to me) and I’ve been all a’flutter with nerves and feeling squeaky-voiced in the metaphorical sense.
When I think of you – and I often do, because all 3 of my sons + me + my husband *love* your music so it’s always on around the house/car/iPods – I never think of you as nervous or quiet or shy. YOU are a brilliant ball of glorious, positive, shining energy!
Now that I know you get that feeling of being teensy-tiny-shy sometimes and that you burst right through it, I’ll have to start channeling my Inner
BifSmall Child and tell her YOU sent me…Peace!

Oh My God Bif how totally cute were you? Now you just had to go and grow into a total sexy bitch!! :D NOW TO SPAZZ OUT LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER ABOUT REHEARSALS AND SHOWS BEING BOOKED EEEEEEEEE!!!! My inner little me is dancing in mud puddles with yours!! Screw OLP happiness is totally a fish you can catch haha!! But I don’t eat fish ick so it can be tossed back. Speaking of women who rock? Pink has always maintained her husky voice which amazes me. Or a chick like Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy doing totally hardcore guttural vocals. Do you know about the Zen Of Screaming? I love the technique on the DVD’s for talking over the pencil keeping your tone where it should be at all times.

I know this feeling. It’s the same feeling I get when I know I’m onto something writing. Excitement, energetic, hell, manic is as good a word as any to describe it. Life needs more moments like these, but it’s up to us to make them.
Here’s my inner child waving at yours, though mine was always quiet and shy. So I’d likely be the boy playing in the sandbox, alone, and engrossed in my own world of imagination. So your inner child would likely have to come over to mine, to say hello and initiate the playtime, semantically speaking anyways. As always, my blessings and love be with you.

Well I got the tour update from FB and miss read the presale day as today, I was sooooo excited that I left work early to go buy my ticket for your show here, then found out that I cant buy till Friday :-( YAH for the tour and Yah for May 5th!!!! I am so stoked to see you live again, cant wait!! All my blessings for a healthy and rocking tour!!

Having an inner child is important. It keeps you from taking life too seriously and taking the time to enjoy it. I still watch cartoons and play video games. I wear Hello Kitty pajamas. I doodle. Kudos for being forever young! Can’t wait to see ya rockin’ in yer hometown!
