I’ve seen the Light…

Namaste and Salaam, most Beautiful People! Happiness and empowerment to you, on this fine day honoring and remembering Martin Luther King Jr. Om Nama Shivaya. He is like Gandhi: an activist and leader fighting the good fight of Righteousness through non-violence. My parents were THERE, in 1963, at The March on Washington. They HEARD his “I Have a Dream” speech! Man!
That must have been soooo cool. (Though Malcom X thought the march was not a good representation, and wouldn’t let his people attend.) I love hearing all about it, like a bedtime story! (This from the family-mine-who watched the Ben Kingsley “Gandhi” movie every Christmas.)
So, now, with one more sleep to go until the 44th President of The United States is sworn in……I feel happy for everyone, that Barack Obama will be DA MAN!!!! Perhaps it is not suprising I suggest, here, we may have a similar Gandhi-esque individual, striving to make things Right. Pretty cool shit. It opens up a lot of feelings for The Planet as everyone has “Hope” whereas, previously, they didn’t really. Like a Healer, he has already created so much positivity in people I can’t help but feel totally psyched for things, especially for my American pals. What is that saying, “thngs are lookin’ up”.
Look up and you might see another fuckin meteor in North Battleford!
My kidlet/babydog is lookin up in this photo from this morning! (I leave the bed at 4 to make my Henry-can-so-i-can-coffee in the grind and brew…I return to a SNORING MALTESE! I was awestruck by the cuteness of this little sentient being, and swear he is a Shining Light, himself. :) I just HAD to take this picture for you! Yeah…its my current bedroom. (I still sleep on the floor- for the last six years because of Anna’s back….I don’t think I will EVER buy a bed!)
Gandhi, King, Obabma, and Nick. Men of Men. Okay…one little dog.
I wish you all a very profound and moving week and hope you find immense inspiration from the history-making factor. It is a heavy, beautiful time in our lives, here. Don’t squander it. Be here now. Sending you the pure love energy from the Rainforest of Vancouver, from my heart. Om Sai Love.
As ever,
Biffy

Good times lie ahead. It is so exciting. World perceptions maybe finally starting to change. Hooray! I remember watching the Ghandi film at school and loving it. How cool that you used to watch it every christmas and that your parents were at THE Martin Luther King speech! Wow! And as for Nick, so super cute, I get the feeling you feel about Nick as I do about my baby girlcat Molly, I’ve had her for 9 years now! She’s still amazingly cute!

The Inagriation was sooo cool, Beautiful speech, as the World breaths a collective sigh of relief, I loved the Closing prayer, “when The Yellow’s can be Mellow, when the Red’s can get ahead, When the White’s can do the right…haha I love that kind of understanding, lol, it’s always an uphill fight, but we are going to push on, it’s good to be on the same team Bif.

Very cool and very true. New day, new ways to think about things. I think through our new president we can invent new possibliities instead of simply rewording the old to make it look pretty. See you on myspace!
